I had forbidden myself from buying any peeptoes for this reason and others, namely: autumn and Canada.
But these Fendis have sort of been haunting my dreams since I saw them on the sale rack this weekend.

Size 36 only. I don't wear a 36. The only pair on ebay is in a different colourway. I just have a thing for architectural wedges, and I like the curve of red. I'd kind of prefer no laces but in person, the laces seemed less noticeable. I think these are Spring 09?

A cool weather solution could be footless tights.

We went to Vancouver to visit our friend Jake. He is an artist.

Having never been to Vancouver before, I was unprepared for how nature-ee it was. My "hiking boots" could have been a little more appropriate.

But I survived.

It was so worth it! The canyon was beautiful.

The fish swam around my feet.

We also went to the aquarium. I will try to not bore you with all my amazing fish photos.

I started to get a little tired of the nature at this point.

Finally I got to go shopping! I was pleasantly surprised at the Vancouver Holts; I tried on these Dolce & Gabbana wedges:

~~But didn't buy either. A big mistake????~~ I went back for them! I was crazy for even doubting for a second. They are possibly the most comfortable heels I own too!

I did buy this McQueen keychain.

I tried on some lace Opening Ceremony pants that didn`t fit. :( I`m also in love with the pants I have on. They are vintage and came with a matching mini dress that I already sold in the shop. My sales assistant actually referred to them as feroush.

The shoe department. These Chloe sandals didn`t totally survive the trip.
But I`m sure I can have them fixed.

Mostly Tommy did alot of skateboarding.

And I did alot of sitting on the beach.

Summer storms have been constant lately, I snapped these literally moments before another torrential downpour. The entire summer has felt like a bit of a letdown, weather-wise. It only just got hot these last couple of days. I cannot help but be super jealous of fashionistas living in warmer climates.......I feel like I am just counting down the minutes until winter (and boring winter appropriate clothing) is back.

People always compliment these shoes when I wear them, which is nice because they actually give me terrible blisters.

It feels a little bit guilty to be updating while the shop is still on hiatus! Summer break = so so nice. Spent an amazing few (BIRTHDAY!) days in Niagara Falls; more on that later, don't get too excited! Really I didn't wear anything special since I spent most the time eating gluttonous meals and laying in the jacuzzi. Since I've been back.......picnics in the park!

Running errands today with pants instead. I only had one shot before my cell phone died.....I might need at least 5 to guarantee head inclusion.

Friday: Tuxedo tails with an 80s mini and my new flats. My old glasses suffered an untimely fate so I'm wearing these now. dress, jacket, oxfords - vintage.

Saturday: Sky-high wedges are terrible to dance in, plus I don't know if I'm brave enough to handle this shirtless thing.

This would look great with a jean jacket, last summer I was feeling like they were a little played out but I think they look fresh again now. I may finally have to retire my leather biker jacket, I'm tired of seeing so many girls in the same thing. It made me feel so tough though!
I LOVE this dress and it actually fit me well so XS girls should snatch this one up! A huge update in the shop starts tonight, with some of my favourite pieces and more come coming all week!

I'm normally not one to lean towards frills and fancy but this poufy white confection really called out to me, maybe it's the similarities to this one:or maybe it's just the wussy ruffle loving girl in me. In fact right now it's reminding me of another white dress left hanging in a local vintage shop that I must go back for, since I now realize it IS the duplicate MiuMiu dress. But I digress. The slipdress felt a little more me with a leather jacket and pumps, although when I went out I actually changed into wedges just to be more comfortable. It looks good with everything! Lucky for you, I hate to wear a fancy dress twice so I put it up in the store yesterday, treat it kindly!

Today was 17 degrees or so, some people might wear a tee-shirt or even sandals, but noooo way, not me. I'm prepared. In no less then 3 button-ups and a leather jacket. To be fair, I really didn't need the scarf, it went straight into the bag but it was overcast and you just never know.

I feel like I've been looking for this dress forever, except this version is infinitely better then anything my brain could dream up. Look at the sheer ruffled cuffs at the end of 3/4 length sleeves, the enormous white bib, the shiny black buttons. I can't say I'm entirely satisfied with what I've done with it, but we were running out the door and I didn't have too much time to think outside the box. Would white tights be too much?
